Our guiding principles

We see ourselves as a modern and innovative educational institution with our principal place of business in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia. We provide professional, customer-focused educational services through initial training, professional development and continuing education programmes across the specialist fields and subject areas of nursing and healthcare, as well as in-house training.

We develop holistic educational concepts that take account of insights into lifelong learning and contemporary environmental awareness.

We regularly analyse educational needs and develop suitable programmes, taking account of the wishes and needs of interested parties as well as developments and trends in the relevant professional fields and markets. We support and advise customers – healthcare and nursing organisations, agencies and other partners – and learners of different ages, with different educational backgrounds and a wide range of responsibilities and roles. We also evaluate our educational programmes.

We evaluate the educational services we provide through continuous dialogue with interested parties: regional governments and supervisory authorities, learners, employers, professional associations, public bodies, employees and partner organisations. We apply the findings to the planning and delivery of our programmes, including their content and teaching methods.

Our learning environment

We provide a practical and welcoming learning environment and use contemporary teaching and learning methods supported by suitable learning materials. We aim to give interested parties a high degree of flexibility in organising their individual lives. Taking a holistic view of learners, we also provide targeted individual support to address the needs and requirements of each interested party.

We continually update our professional and educational knowledge and evaluate our work. Findings from evaluations continually inform the development of our training content, teaching practice and organisation. We draw on leading insights from research and professional practice.
